This 1926 worker’s cottage was purchased as a vacation home for an active family. In order to better entertain their guests, the owners hired LJM to seamlessly integrate a 1200 square foot addition to the home and remodel approximately 1,100 square feet of the existing space. The entire basement was finished and a new den was created in the addition. On the first floor, the original kitchen was converted into a mudroom, laundry closet, and half bath, and the addition contained a new kitchen which was open to a new family room with fireplace. On the second floor, a new master suite was provided including a master bedroom, walk-in closet, and master bath with double vanity and tiled walk-in shower.
